Treaty of Waitangi Presentation

Purakau Productions will present a lecture based on the decisions and actions of influential Ngapuhi Rangatira (chief), Moka Te Kaingamata regarding the Treaty of Waitangi (and other documents).

History has previously claimed he was a signatory to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, but recent research by Maori historian Brent Kerehona Pukepuke-Ahitapu suggests that not only did Moka fail to sign this document, but that he refused to do so on principle - Aotearoa New Zealand's first activist.
